As a Private Client Advisor within our Japan Desk, you will deliver high-quality financial advice to our Japanese client base across a broad range of products and services. Leveraging your expertise and strong interpersonal skills, you will build lasting client relationships and position our bank as a trusted partner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Holistic Wealth Advisory and Cross-Selling: Provide comprehensive financial advice to affluent international clients (primarily in English), identifying client needs and driving cross-selling opportunities through tailored financial planning solutions.
- Investment Advisory and Portfolio Optimization: Advise clients on investment products and actively support portfolio growth, taking into account relevant regulatory and tax considerations.
- Client Relationship Management and Business Development: Strengthen and expand existing client relationships, proactively acquire new clients, and collaborate with internal specialists to deliver tailored solutions.
- Client Service and Operations: Respond to a wide range of client inquiries and manage day-to-day client activities across banking services.
- Compliance and Multichannel Delivery: Ensure all client interactions, documentation, and contracts comply with applicable regulations and internal standards, while delivering a seamless experience across multiple service channels.
Your Profile
Qualifications:
- Degree as a Banking Specialist (e.g. Sparkassen-/Bankfachwirt) or a comparable qualification in banking, finance, or a related field
- Ideally, completion of advanced training in private client advisory or wealth advisory (or willingness to obtain such qualifications)
Experience:
- Strong background in advising private/banking clients, particularly in securities advisory
- Basic knowledge of pension, current account, and lending business
- Ideally, initial experience with products and software used within the German savings bank sector
Additional Skills:
- Passion for providing holistic, solution-oriented client advice and strong active listening skills
- Team-oriented, while also working independently in a structured and flexible manner
- Confident and empathetic personality with the ability to build trust with clients and colleagues
- Fluent English; knowledge of Japanese is an advantage
