NERC Compliance Analyst At Talen Energy, we are seeking a North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) Compliance Analyst to support audit readiness and improve compliance of NERC‑required programs across applicable registrations by conducting detail reviews and analysis of compliance evidence, reporting findings, and maintaining program documentation.
How You’ll Power the Future
Lead support of the NERC Internal Compliance Program (ICP)
Maintain the NERC Department SharePoint and Global Audit‑Ready (GAR) documents accurate and up to date
Track milestones, prepare reports, and expedite personnel as necessary to ensure timely and quality completion of ICP milestones
Develop Reliability Standard Audit Worksheets (RSAWs) for GAR and external audits
Gather, review, and organize evidence for GAR, checking material for quality, and maintain tracking tools
Provide GAR SME support to PNCs and other NERC Group personnel
Assist the NERC Compliance Director as needed
Support development of procedures, training materials, and related documentation aligned with applicable NERC reliability Standards
Upload timesheets and maintain purchase orders documentation
Collaborate across business unit lines to communicate ICP needs and prompt completion of ICP assignments
Demonstrate strong commitment to customer service and high‑quality compliance deliverables
Participate in CIP & Ops Planning Meetings and implement initiatives to support ICP and compliance with NERC Reliability Standards
Maintain monthly budget with business units
Participate in occasional onsite support assignments as needed
Willingness to travel up to 10%
Minimum Requirements
Degree in computer science, cybersecurity, communications, or business
Strong administrative and computer experience
1 year of experience in NERC CIP and 693 Reliability Standard knowledge or 1 year of compliance experience
Ability to communicate cross‑functionally, solve problems, adapt to changing regulations or processes, work collaboratively with diverse perspectives, manage deadlines, and organize data efficiently
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, SharePoint)
Able to meet requirements for nuclear and NERC Medium Impact plant background clearance where applicable
