What You'll Do:
Perform patient evaluations and develop treatment plans for a diverse caseload, including neuro, ortho, cardiac, respiratory, trauma, surgical, and ICU cases Manage up to 8 patients per shift, performing assessments, documentation, and therapy sessions Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including PTs during onboarding, to ensure seamless patient care Facilitate patient transfers involving lines and drains, managing acutely ill individuals Participate in daily huddles, document patient progress, and adjust treatment plans as needed Support patient mobility, functional recovery, and discharge planning Ensure compliance with all hospital and safety protocols in an acute care setting
What You Need:
Valid Kansas occupational therapy license (KSBHA required) Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy Minimum 1 year of acute care experience, with comfort managing complex, critically ill patients Ability to work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment Excellent communication and teamwork skills BLS certification (must be obtained within first 90 days if not already held) NBCOT certification preferred; Epic EMR experience a plus
