Description
Assess individuals of all ages - pediatric, adult, and geriatric - employing standardized tools and observational methods. Create individualized treatment plans tailored to meet both immediate needs and long-term communication or swallowing goals. Deliver focused speech therapy sessions that enhance communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing abilities. Collaborate alongside physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and families to establish cohesive care protocols. Educate patients and their families to ensure progress continues beyond therapy sessions. Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations, ensuring seamless care throughout every stage of treatment. Keep thorough and timely documentation compliant with state, federal, and organizational regulations. Engage in ongoing professional development through education and peer interaction to remain abreast of industry innovations. Education
A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Fulfillment of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not ASHA-certified. Certifications
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferably hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within your first month of employment. Skills
