Conduct comprehensive evaluations across a diverse patient demographic, employing both standardized assessments and observational methods. Craft individualized treatment plans designed to meet both immediate and ongoing communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives. Deliver focused speech therapy interventions that promote language proficiency, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing effectiveness. Foster collaborative relationships with multidisciplinary teams, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and families, to develop integrated care approaches. Educate patients and their families to encourage and support progress between therapy sessions. Participate in inpatient therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout the patient's experience. Maintain thorough and accurate clinical documentation in line with state, federal, and organizational standards. Pursue continuous professional development to stay abreast of advancements in the field through education and networking. Education
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications
Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of hiring. Skills
