Key Responsibilities
Conduct assessments for patients spanning pediatrics, adulthood, and geriatrics, utilizing standardized tests and thorough observational strategies. Design individualized treatment plans that cater to immediate objectives as well as long-lasting communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements. Deliver tailored one-on-one speech therapy focusing on communication skills, language clarity, fluency, vocalization, and swallowing difficulties. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, doctors, caregivers, and family members to cultivate integrated and effective care approaches. Provide education for patients and their families, equipping them with tools to support progress beyond clinical sessions. Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions for speech therapy, ensuring seamless care throughout the therapeutic journey. Maintain accurate and timely documentation per state, federal, and institutional standards. Engage in lifelong learning by staying up to date with the latest advancements in the field through continuing education and valuable peer interactions. Qualifications
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not yet acquired. Licensing & Certifications
Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of hire. Essential Skills
