We are seeking a skilled and compassionate nurse Vascular Access Nurse to join our clinical team. In this role, you will be responsible for the assessment, insertion, maintenance and management of vascular access devices, including PICC lines, midlines and peripheral IVs, while ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and care. Preferred candidates will have experience in nursing infusion, mid-line and PICC placement, and a solid understanding of venous access devices and the vascular system. Proficiency in IV placement, central line care, blood draws, and medication management-including IV administration and anaphylaxis response-is highly valued.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate independent judgment, excellent time management, and the ability to work collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
Schedule:
13 Week Contract, 36 hours per week. 12-Hour Day shifts Department Preferred Licensure, Certification, Registration:
Current and unrestricted licensure as a Registered Nurse (R.N.) in the District of Columbia. Certification in BLS CPR required. VA-BC (Vascular Access-Board Certified) strongly desired but not required.
Department Preferred Experience: Minimum of three years hospital experience as a practicing nurse. (vacular expereince preferred). Department Preferred Education: BSN preferred.
